INTRODUCTION

“Nine out of 10 stock, futures and options traders lose their money.”

Anyone who comes in contact with the capitals markets has heard that statement.  For many, it is enough to dissuade.  They don’t venture any further.

A few press ahead.

A few turn the old saw on its head thusly: ‘one out of ten succeeds’ ---- and then immerse themselves in the business of finding out why.

The burning question, and quite literally, the million dollar question:  Why does that one succeed?

That’s what we have researched and written about for years, and try to show in this little book – the “ones,” if you will, the real stories of real people who took on the adverse odds and came out of the financial markets jungle with diamonds in hand.  We focus on options, and we call these winners Option Wizards®, after the name of the software we developed (and trademarked) years ago to help those brave enough to tackle the options markets.

How – exactly -- did they do it?  How did they win?

They, themselves, immersed themselves in training to learn the art and science of risk management, of options strategies, the Greeks, markets, technical analysis.

Then they started – small. First, paper trading, then live and breathing money, but small.  They took their losses, learned their craft, and pressed on.  Until they attained mastery, but with humility.  Each one profiled here regards the job of options trading as one of continual learning.  The same way doctors, pilots, professors and Indian chiefs and other highly trained individuals do.  They never stop learning.  Learn or die, some might say.

So ------ we’ll stop talking here, so you can start the process or more likely add to your own process of learning.

We wish you well, and hope that you, too, attain the confident and highly skilled status of Option Wizard®.

Sincerely,

John A. Sarkett
